Plan 9 & 2001: A Space Odyssey
It’s a perfect pairing: one of the most wonderfully terrible movies of all time with one of the most terribly wonderful movies ever. Watch aliens raise the dead for stupid reasons and aliens raise human consciousness for ??? reasons. It’s also a preview of this year’s Coppercon. At the Tempe Pollack Theater at 7pm.

Sharknado On The Big Screen
Not yet sick of the internet’s love affair with Sharknado? Perfect, because they’re throwing it up on the big screen for those who want more. Of course, if you want that sweet, sweet Sharknado action, you’ll have to make it out to Surprise and you’ll have to stay up late – looks like it starts at midnight.
Game On Party
Take First Friday, add video game worship, and have a blast. “Game On” takes place at the Phoenix Art Museum and consists of video game tournaments, live music by The Minibosses, an Artcade, and video game themed drinks. Swing by around 6pm.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World
Then stick around and catch Michael Cera being Michael Cera but also kinda Scott Pilgrim at 7pm.
