Question: What’s awesome? Answer: Dinosaurs.

It doesn’t matter if it’s the mighty T-Rexa robot dinosaur, or even Denver The Last Dinosaur, they’re all awesome by virtue of being dinosaurs. That’s just how it is.

You know this, I know this…

Now we can celebrate the awesomeness of dinosaurs together at Phoenix DinoCon!

Fans of the Terrible Lizard are gathering (for free) at The Starlight Theater, in the Arizona Museum of Natural History on July 27th to geek out about the “facts, fantasy and fun of dinosaurs and their impact on popular culture.” That means panels about Jurassic Park (the first movie I ever saw more than once in the theaters) and Dinobots, as well as debates, trivia, and anything else they come up with between now and then.

This is a new venture, and I’m a big fan of 1: People putting together things that they’re passionate about, 2: Events that let people go down the rabbit hole on a subject they love, and 3: Nerd events in the Phoenix area – so I hope you can show up, support, and help spread the word, comrades. You can also check out their volunteer page and see if you can lend a hand.

Hold on to your butts!
