There’s just something magical about the new year… that tends to bump up convention prices.
So if you want your 2013 to be filled with colorful characters, endless nerd jabber, and a few of your favorite geek icons, I highly suggest grabbing tickets/memberships/passes to the following before this week ends:
I suggest picking up badges to TaiyoCon 2013 this week for two reasons, actually. One, because prices will increase quite a bit, and two, because it’s only a few weeks away, you slacker! You’re almost out of time to finish your Eva Unit 001 cosplay!
TaiyoCon 2013 rocks the Hilton Phoenix East in Mesa on January 4-6. Only $35 (until the end of the year).
I couldn’t find anything about prices increasing, but AACC is also only a month away. This newer convention is moving into the Phoenix Convention Center this year, as well as bringing in Stan Lee, so be prepared to drop $50 for the weekend.
Amazing Arizona Comic Con 2013 wanders into Phoenix Jan 25 – 27.
Well yippie kay yay, it’s a steampunk convention! Securing tickets to this one isn’t as urgent, but still worth mentioning. Pricing only bumps up $5 on Jan 2nd, but if you’re into the niche there’s no reason not to get them early. I have heard nothing but good about this convention in years past.
Wild Wild West Con 2013 airships into Old Tucson March 8 – 10. Fans of goggle wearing should also be prepared to pay $54.90 (kinda random) for a weekend of steam.
Time to get your memberships and get your hotel rooms! A full weekend of maximum geekery at the biggest nerd event of the year ’round these parts is only $40 until the end of the year. I blog for these guys, so stick around to stay up to date on Phoenix Comicon shenanigans.
Phoenix Comicon 2013 slams into The Phoenix Convention Center on May 23 – 26 (Memorial Day Weekend).
Oh my. Wonder why Arizona Comic Con is so pricey in comparison. Can’t just be Stan Lee, wonder what gives?
