Next year’s Phoenix Comicon is quickly coalescing, but major positions are still being announced if you want to dive in and get involved.

This round includes the ever-coveted Guest Relations Manager, as well as a need for some photography geniuses:

Guest Relations Manager

Guest Relations Manager is responsible to oversee the guest services provided during Phoenix Comicon.

  • Hire Coordinators and Event Staff
  • Create schedules and shift times
  • Update Org chart
  • Coordinate guest communication with guest relations coordinators and programming staff.  This includes communicating with guests prior to the convention to inform guests of services provided, determining guest schedules and identifying guest needs.
  • Complete bi-weekly status update reports to director
  • Follow communication guidelines with other guest relations staff and outside departments
  • Identify and communicate department needs to outside departments.
  • Arrange for guest transportation from the airport to the hotel
  • Compile content of guest packet and create packets prior to the event
  • Scheduling team to greet guests once they arrive
  • Distribution of guest packets and stipends
  • Make a daily schedule for coordinators and event staff
  • Determine supplies needed for guests and staff

Guest Relations Coordinator

Guest Relations Coordinator is responsible to oversee the guest services provided during Phoenix Comicon.

  • Hire Event Staff
  • Create schedules and shift times
  • Work with Director to coordinate guest communication with programming staff.  This includes communicating with guests prior to the convention to inform guests of services provided, determining guest schedules and identifying guest needs.
  • Complete bi-weekly status update reports to director
  • Follow communication guidelines with other guest relations staff and outside departments
  • Identify and communicate department needs to outside departments.
  • Make a daily schedule for event staff
  • Ensure that guests arrive on time for all scheduled activities, are provided with lunch and water as requested

Photo Booth Manager

Photo Booth Manager is responsible to oversee the Photo Booth services.

  • Hire coordinators and event staff to assist in the running of the booth
  • Create schedules and shift times
  • Update Org chart
  • Follow communication guidelines with other guest relations staff and outside departments
  • Identify and communicate department needs to outside departments.
  • Determine supplies needed
  • Issue payout to guest after each photo session
  • Managing the POS area and photo pickup area
  • Coordinating with photographer and line control staff to move attendees through the photo taking process in an effective manner and coordinating with guest relations staff to have photo sessions begin and end on time.
  • Photo booth duties include selling photo opportunities to attendees, answering attendee questions, putting photos out for attendee pick up.
  • Oversee on site processing and printing of photos
