Tempe Is Having A Giant “Geeks Night Out” Next Month, And It’s Totally Free

In about a month, on February 16th, Tempe is throwing a big ol’ party for those of the nerdy persuasion.

After an action packed, but casualty-filled 2011, I’m trying to take events like this as a good omen for the outlook of Geek Arizona in 2012.

Everything will be circling around Madcap Theaters on Mill, for the festivities, from 6pm to 9pm.

Here’s a quick list of some of the things they’re hoping to include:

• Astronomy and Telescopes
• Robots!!
• Paranormal Investigation
• Costuming/Parade
• Inventor pitch-fest
• Tech Job Fair
• Aaaaaand more…

Why is Tempe doing this?
