This weekend, Geek Arizona get’s super, finds out what you really know about video games, & throws a giant horror fest.

Another wild range of things for geeks to do this weekend in Arizona. And it’s the last one before Phoenix Comicon.

I hope I’ll see you there, and that you’ll follow me on Facebook and Twitter so we can connect!

Thursday, May 19th

Video Game Trivia [Phoenix]

  • Give your gamer thumbs a break and test your video game knowledge.
  • Starting 7:00pm at Cade Gallery.
  • Looks like they’ve made it a solid monthly fixture.
  • A few more details on Cade Gallery’s calendar.

Friday, May 20th

Ignite Phoenix #10 [Scottsdale]

  • I know, I know – it’s completely sold out.
  • But I figured it deserved a mention for opening with a presentation called:
  • “Beyond Dungeons & Dragons: Pen-and-Paper RPG’s for Everyone!”
  • Details at Ignite Phoenix’s website.
  • (I’ll actually be going, so let me know if you’re going so we can connect!)

Super! [Tempe]

  • You should see Super because it has Rainn Wilson shouting “Shut up, crime!”
  • Or maybe you should see it because it has Arwen in it.
  • Or because you like ridiculous violence mixed with dark comedy.
  • Either way it’s playing at Madcap Theaters in Tempe at 8pm and 10pm, both Fri and Sat.
  • Details on Madcap’s site.

Saturday, May 21st

FearCon IV [Tempe]

  • Mwahahahahahahahahaaaaaa ::cough:: haaaaaa!!!
  • It’s FearCon IV and there may be zombies involved somehow.
  • (Just a hunch.)
  • Oh, and a custom hearse exhibit!
  • Head to  Madcap Theaters around noon and spend the rest of your Saturday having a sick and twisted time.
  • Everything you need to know and reasonably priced tickets on Fearcon’s site.

Zap! Pow! Bam! The Superhero: The Golden Age of Comic Books [Scottsdale]

  • View art surrounding those classic superheros everyone loves.
  • At the Scottsdale Civic Center Library.
  • The exhibit goes all the way through the summer.
  • Keep your eyes open, as they’ll be announcing events that go along with it.
  • Details here. Also on Nerdvana.

Xbox New Release Gaming Night [Scottsdale]

  • The Microsoft Store in Scottsdale is inviting people out to play their latest stock.
  • Enjoy BRINK, LEGO: Pirates of the Caribbean, & Virtua Tennis 4 for Kinect.
  • Starts at 5pm.
  • Here’s the Meetup Page.

Wow, what a weekend. What will you be up to?

Did I miss anything?

Will I see you at Ignite?
