This weekend, Arizona let’s Star Wars take the stage, makes fun of bad movies, and fills Phoenix with the walking dead.

And hey, there’s a new email form at the bottom of the Local Geek Calendar page. You can use it to help me consolidate all of Arizona’s geek events by letting me know what I’m missing!

  • Mike, Kevin, and Bill are taking jabs at a Vincent Price film this time.
  • Broadcasting live to most major theaters here, starting at 8pm.
  • Like many of you, I’m a big MST3K fan, and seeing them “live” surrounded by fellow fans just makes it even better.

Movie Mashterpiece Theater – Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark

  • Strangely enough, a local comedy group is doing a similar live performance the same night.
  • The Phoenix National Comedy Theatre will be doing some live riffing of their own, this time for the made for TV film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.
  • At Madcap Theaters starting at 7pm.

  • I’m not sure I can describe this one any better than it’s title does.
  • Starts at 8pm at Samurai Comics in Phoenix.
  • Show up early for parking, good seats, or to sign up and share what beats within your two Gorog hearts.
  • 100 exp points to anyone who gets me a picture of a Stormtrooper wearing a black turtleneck at this thing.
