The Wii Games last Saturday were a true tribute to Nintendo excellence and championship.
Okay, they were also an excuse to get out with some nephews, get free custom t-shirts, and have fun playing video games.
We’d already registered, so we just had to show up and sign in. Our team was named Sparky Sparky Boom Man!
Go morning hair and hipster man-purse!
Then we scoped out the games (and the competition).
Each player was able to go make a customized t-shirt, you could select a character, a layout, and some text. Here’s mine.
Then the games began! We pretty much went down a row of stations, each of us taking turns at different games.
My 6 year old nephew, Cooper, started us off by rocking some Wii Bowling:
Then my 10 year old nephew, Jarom, beat a Mario Kart level with surgical precision.
Seriously, I think he got one of the top scores.
After that, the grownups attempted some Wii Fit Hula Hooping and Wii Resort Basketball, but you really don’t need to see pictures of those…
We ended up at 3rd place for the weekend so far! Once we knew our place in the Wii world, we hung around and won a few prizes by playing some more games, then we got our In-N-Out Burger on before heading home.
Thanks for coming with us, Cooper and Jarom!
