Holy crap, there is a lot to do here in Arizona this weekend if you’re a nerd.

And there are plenty of geeky things to do here in the Phoenix area, even throughout the week.

Thursday, Aug 19th

Gangplank – Drink & Draw Cosplay Life Drawing

  • The Arizona Avengers are showing up to be immortalized in art.
  • Bring some art supplies and join in!
  • Taking place at Gangplank starting at 7pm and going all night long, baby. (Well, really late anyway.)
  • I believe drinks are being provided for artists, but feel free to bring your own snacks.

Rifftrax Live! – Reefer Madness

  • If you’ve been to a previous Rifftrax Live! event, you know how funny these are.

Friday, Aug 20th

Madcap Theaters – Best Worst Movie and Troll 2 Double Feature

  • Oh My Gooooooood!
  • I will not be missing this, as I’ve recently converted to mindless and unabashed Troll 2 worship.
  • First they’ll show Best Worst Movie, followed by the infamous Troll 2 itself.
  • At Madcap Theaters from 6pm – 10pm.
  • It’s my understanding that one of the documentary producers of will be taking questions afterward.
  • And don’t forget to drink some special Nilbog Milk before you go. It’s high in vitamin content, and it’s free! (Free?) Of course it’s free!
